Previously, Amalgam (Silver) fillings were the most popular form of dental restoration. Amalgam Fillings are comprised of fifty percent mercury, which is extremely toxic to the body. Mercury is constantly leaking from amalgam fillings and may be absorbed. Exposure to mercury has been clinically proven to result in severe health complications, some of which include, damage to the brain, lungs, kidneys, heart, the immune system, nervous system and may result in birth defects. Mercury is a harmful and toxic substance and we do not believe they should be used in any dental treatment, especially in children, pregnant or nursing mothers, and in those who have an immunocompromised situation.

Dr Parrag utilise resin bonded, gold and ceramic dental materials as opposed to mercury based products, providing both functional and aesthetic benefits to patients. Bonded resin and porcelain dentistry can be virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth and allows you to restore your oral condition without compromising the aesthetic appearance of your smile!
