ORAL SURGERY
At Advanced Dental Care Clinic we provide Oral Surgery including Extractions and Wisdom Teeth Removal.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
The wisdom tooth (or third molar) is usually the last tooth to erupt into the mouth anytime after about 16 years of age. Often there is not enough room to fit the wisdom teeth within the mouth, causing them to become ‘impacted’.
Some of the problems associated with impacted wisdom teeth, include: bacteria and plaque build-up, cyst development, tumour development, infection and jaw and gum disease. Many oral health specialists will recommend the removal of wisdom teeth, as early extraction will help to eliminate further dental problems.
Extraction
At Advanced Dental Care Clinic we only believe in extraction as a very last resort. In some cases, other treatment such as a Root Canal may be an option enabling Dr. Parrag to save the affected tooth. Even if you have significant decay, there are numerous restorative treatments that we can recommend over and above the removal of a tooth.
When a tooth cannot be saved, extraction (removal) of the tooth may be the only course of treatment. Dr. Parrag is a gentle, caring Dentist and will ensure every possible step is taken to make you feel relaxed and at ease throughout treatment.
Laser Surgery
Laser Surgery takes a quantum leap in dental treatment and surgery. Laser is our treatment of choice for – increased comfort, effectiveness, reduced post operative recovery time and results. Laser Surgery may be used to treat:
- Periodontal (Gum) Disease

- Gum Lifts
- It may also be used for ‘drill-free dentistry’
It may also be used for ‘drill-free dentistry’ Laser is a gentle, conservative and non-invasive alternative to the old-fashioned non-laser cut and suture method.
If you have any queries or concerns regarding any treatment, Dr Parrag and will openly discuss all elements of any procedure with you.
