Want to achieve that beautiful, straight smile you have always dreamed of? Gold Coast Orthodontic treatment strives to improve the function and appearance of your smile.
At Advanced Dental Care Clinic, our aim with Gold Coast orthodontics treatment is to provide harmony and balance between the teeth, muscles and jaw joints of the head and neck to allow freedom for the body to function optimally.
We believe it’s about more than just straight teeth, although this is an added benefit. If your teeth don’t fit together properly, you can have problems not only with your teeth themselves, but also the gums, the temporomandibular joint or the muscles that move your jaw. These problems are called ‘occlusal’ problems.
Treatment is individualised for each person, meaning it will address and treat your individual concerns. Before your treatment commences you will be briefed on the plan and talked through each step. The team at Advanced Dental Care Clinic will always aim to involve their patients within the plan as much as possible. We offer our patients neuromuscular orthodontics, which creates a more holistic approach to orthodontics as it aims to realign jaw joints, facial bones and tissues and teeth. With this treatment braces are the refinement and finishing of the occlusion and as a result we aim to have our patients wearing braces for less time.
Neuromuscular orthodontics aims to realign the jaw joints, facial bones and tissues and teeth. Many times appliances are used or orthopaedic treatment applied before braces are placed. Appliances are sometimes removable and full co-operation in wearing as directed is needed for the best results.

Once your orthodontic treatment is completed: the use of retainers is just as important to stabilise your teeth as the movement was.
There are 2 types of retainers, either removable or fixed.
Invisalign® is a series of virtually invisible aligners that are custom made to fit over your teeth snugly. These aligners apply light pressure to gradually move your teeth into the desired positions. Every aligner moves the teeth slightly and they are changed every 1-2 weeks to guide the teeth through the movements we planned for them. The Invisalign® trays are worn for approximately 22 hours a day, aside from eating, flossing and brushing, to achieve the maximum effect. The length of treatment depends on the specific circumstances of your teeth. This can vary from 4 months up to 18 months. Read more.
